EXECUTIVE BOARD
Comprised of thirteen elected representatives, the BCPFFA executive board includes a President, a Secretary-Treasurer, eight Regional Vice Presidents, and three Trustees. This dedicated board advocates for 4,700 members across 56 Locals in its eight regions, encompassing vital roles such as firefighting, suppression, training, fire prevention, dispatch, mechanics, and clerical support. A core function of each Vice President is to lead various committees, specifically: Collective Bargaining, Database & Research, Finance & Audit, Governance & Policy, Grievance of Members' Rights & Legal Support, Health, Safety & Wellness, Human Relations, and Legislative Advocacy.
PRINCIPAL OFFICERS
TODD SCHIERLING - PRESIDENT
Todd, a captain with the Surrey Fire Service and member of Local 1271, was acclaimed as President at the 2023 Convention. Previously, Todd was elected as Secretary-Treasurer of the BCPFFA at the 2016 Convention, and was acclaimed at the 2018 and 2021 Conventions. BRIAN CATINUS - SECRETARY-TREASURER
Brian, a fire fighter with Saanich Fire Department and a member of Local 967 Saanich was acclaimed as Secretary-Treasurer at the 2023 BCPFFA Convention. Brian previously, was President Local 967 and sat on several BCPFFA committees such as Finance, Grievance, Database/IT, Resolutions and Convention committees, and in addition, is a Field Service Rep for IAFF 6th District Mike Carter. LEE DEPELLEGRIN - EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT, KOOTENAYS
Lee was acclaimed as Vice President, Kootenay region in 2018, 2021, 2023 and 2025. He is a member of the BCPFFA EMS and Resolutions committee. Lee also is a Field Service Rep for IAFF 6th District Vice President Mike Carter. Lee was hired with the Trail Fire Department in 2002 and is an Acting Captain in the suppression division. He served as Vice President of his Local executive.
WADE PERRETT - VICE PRESIDENT, LOWER MAINLAND
Wade was acclaimed as Vice President, Lower Mainland North region in 2025. Wade began his career with Port Moody Fire Rescue in 2007, and is now a Training Captain.
Wade was elected to the executive board of IAFF Local 2399 in 2011. We look forward to his leadership.
ADRIAN SHERRIFF, VANCOUVER LOCAL 18
Adrian was appointed to the BCPFFA executive board by Local 18 on October 16 2023. Adrian serves on BCPFFA’s committees EMS, Grievances and Elections. Adrian was hired in 2010 by Vancouver Fire & Rescue Services, and has served on the Local 18 board since 2017, now as Executive Vice President. Adrian serves on the Grievance committee.
MIKE MCMILLAN - VICE PRESIDENT, LOWER MAINLAND
Mike was acclaimed to the position of Vice President on February 4th 2022. Previous to this Mike was appointed to the position of Trustee in September 2020 and elected in 2021. Mike was hired in 2004 by the Delta Fire Department. He has served on Delta’s Local 1763 executive board since 2009, holding the role of Trustee, Vice President and (President since 2016). Mike serves on BCPFFA Bargaining and Grievance committees.
SAVERIO LATTANZIO - VICE PRESIDENT, FRASER VALLEY
Saverio was acclaimed as BCPFFA Vice President, Fraser Valley region. in 2018, 2021, 2023 and 2025. Saverio has been active over his career as a peer fitness trainer, pension committee, and wellness & peer fitness program. Saverio was hired by the Surrey Fire Service in May 2000. Sav was first elected as Surrey Local 1271 inJune 2012, and in 2020 was acclaimed as L1271 President.
ANDREW ZADO - VICE PRESIDENT, ISLAND
Andrew was elected as Vice President Island Region at the 2023 and 2025 BCPFFA Conventions. Andrew was hired in 2009 by the Esquimalt Fire Department. He was first elected to Esquimalt’s Local 4264 executive board as Secretary-Treasurer in 2010 and has been President since 2014. Andrew is passionate about improving the working conditions for all firefighters.
MIKE HOLLIDAY - VICE PRESIDENT, NORTHERN
Mike was acclaimed as the Vice President of the Northern Region at the 2025 BCPFFA Convention. Mike was hired by the Prince George Fire Department in August of 2002. Mike joined local 1372 as a trustee in 2006, was elected as the locals Membership Registrar in 2008, and ultimately as the Secretary in 2012. Mike has been an IAFF Political Training Academy Instructor since 2018 and is currently an IAFF Service Representative.
KRIS KRUTOP - VICE PRESIDENT, OKANAGAN
Kris was acclaimed as Vice President, Okanagan in January 2023 and again at the 2023 BCPFFA Convention. He is a member of the EDF, Dispatch , and Grievance committees. Kris was hired in 1997 by Kamloops Fire / Rescue and is a Captain in Fire Suppression. Kris has been the president of Local 913 since 2010.
TRUSTEES
STEWART DUMONT- TRUSTEE
Stewart was elected as BCPFFA Trustee in 2018, 2021, 2023, 2025 and he has been a Burn Fund rep for his local for nearly two decades.
Stewart was hired in 1998 by the Campbell River Fire Department. Currently, he sat as L1668 President for nearly two decades up to 2024 on Local 1668’s executive board as Vice President and President.
Curtis Gibbons - TRUSTEE
Curtis was elected as BCPFFA Trustee in 2021 and re-elected in 2023 and 2025.
Curtis is with the Penticton Fire Department. Curtis is the President of Local 1399. He sits on the BCPFFA finance committee.
shane poole - TRUSTEE
Shane was elected in 2024 and 2025.
Shane is with the New Westminster Fire Department and serves as President of Local 256. Shane sits on the BCPFFA grievance committee.
